The Dorset group (originally Bournemouth) was founded in the mid eighties by some willing enthusiasts who saw the potential for a regional club in the south to run along side the national Ford RS owners group.

Although first formed with friends within the Bournemouth area, the club now attracts owners from all parts of the county. The array of cars we have is extremely varied, ranging from the earliest mk1's, the ultra rare RS200 an the more modern Cosworth and Focus RS models.

The group prides itself on being an approachable friendly club, holding a monthly meeting throughout the year that is always well attended. There are many members whose interest in the club go beyond just owning an RS car. Many take part in track days and we even have a few concourse entrants who regularly do well at the RS Owners Club National Day.
